Why We Support Goodwill Industries

Charitable giving is built into the core of our business. It is a part of our business, built into our business foundation, and we make it a priority to give back to the community. We do this by focusing our giving on organizations which are in alignment with the goal of any endeavor we pursue.

LinkedSTL focuses on providing opportunities for professionals to connect and build meaningful relationships. We feel that job-skills training is important, and the mission of Goodwill Industries is centered around job-skills training.

As you build your own network, we invite you to take a look at Goodwill Industries, or any other organization that can benefit from your efforts. We encourage you to consider giving back to the community as a part of your normal business practices.

    I love to donate, however it saddens me to go into a store where they overprice a free item that has been given to them.

    Thank you for your candid comment. I respect your opinion, and I will definitely not argue with you. I would like to offer an explanation, though. LinkedSTL is bound by the core mission of our parent organization to contribute back to the community with every project; it’s a fundamental part of our business model. The primary mission of Goodwill Industries is job-skills training, and for this particular endeavor, it seemed to fit the bill.
    We did seek suggestions for this charitable objective, and we are still open to suggestions. However, we are committed to this contribution for the upcoming event on the 26th. If you have a suggestion for another organization, please let us know, and we will consider it for future events. Once again, thank you for your candid response, and I hope to see you at our August 26th event.

    I’d recommend donating to Community Employment Inc. which “assists people with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment.” Their website is communityemploymentinc.net and they have local offices in downtown St. Louis and in St. Charles.

    Confluence Academy is always looking for sponsors, they help send students to college by providing scholarships.
